Christmas Bird Count: Nokesville Circle Sector 3

Sector 3 covers the northern portion of Quantico Marine Corps Base.

Sector Leader Jim Waggener reports that notable species observed during the January 4 count included an American Kestrel, all seven resident woodpeckers; the presence of Eastern Phoebe, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Brown Creeper; both kinglet species and Eastern Meadowlark. The disappointment was not finding turkeys or quail.
