Dear Friend of Wildlife,
Thank you for your interest in conserving natural areas and protecting wildlife. Habitat losses are the primary threat to wildlife and you can be a part of the effort to reverse this trend - you don't need to stand on the sidelines!
One of our members has stepped forward and committed $5,000 to help fund a conservation landscape project at Merrimac Farm IF we raise the same amount in designated contributions.
We’ve developed a plan to transform the back yard of the Merrimac Farm Stone House into a diverse habitat for birds, butterflies, moths, turtles, frogs and more. This project expands natural areas to reduce non-native grass, enhances vertical structure and increases the variety of food sources to welcome a wider variety of wildlife.
Through this demonstration project, we're showing how everyone can do their part to protect a little nature while Northern Virginia continues to grow.
This four-season greenscape of native plants will also create a high quality area for you and your family to watch wildlife in a public area that is always open and easy to access.
It will only happen with your help. We need to raise $10,000 to begin Phase 1. We’re nearly halfway there already!
If you act now, you can double your money. The first $5,000 in contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to the generosity of one of our members. That is a great investment.
Can we count on you to take this opportunity to do so much good for so little? To make a gift to support this project, you can donate safely online here or send a check to PWCA, PO Box 6351, Woodbridge, VA 22195.
Please accept our thanks in advance for your generous tax deductible contribution.
Sincerely,
Charlie Grymes
