Bi-County Parkway: A developer subsidy that won't solve commuter problems and would:
• Open Rural Crescent and Mid-County communities to higher density residential development.*
• Transform the current local Rte 234 corridor into a clogged truckway, affecting the quality of communities from Gainesville to Dumfries.
• Squander the state's new transportation tax increases on speculative projects.
• Endanger historic and environmental resources at Manassas National Battlefield Park.
We need to solve east-west congestion to improve access to jobs but VDOT and some
politicians propose to use public funds to build a north-south outer beltway.
Support Comprehensive Plan Amendments to keep Route 234 at four lanes and remove the Bi-County Parkway.
